The OKK Aukfa K3 is a white, remote-controlled toy robot for children. It walks, turns, dances and plays back recorded messages, and it can carry small items on a tray. The brand also built a coin slot into its head, so it doubles as a small savings bank.
How you control it
OKK lists several ways to play. A wireless remote moves the robot in all directions. Touching the top of its head starts specific actions, and the robot also responds to voice commands and handclaps. The remote works up to about 15 metres away, according to OKK, and takes two AAA batteries that are not included.
Recording and talking
One of the main features is voice recording. A child can record their own message, and the robot will speak it back. That makes the toy more than a simple remote-control car, since the robot can act as a messenger or a joke-teller. OKK also lists pre-programmed music and dance tracks, so the robot can move to music.
The tray and the coin bank
The robot comes with an attachable tray. OKK says it can carry small, light items such as snacks, which turns the toy into a pretend butler. It is worth treating this as play. A toy this size is meant for light items, and drinks near a battery-powered device are best avoided.
The coin slot sits on top of the head, and coins collect in a drawer inside the head that opens with the included key. OKK suggests this as a gentle way to teach saving.
Size, material and battery
The robot measures 25.7 x 17 x 14 cm and weighs about 1.9 lb (roughly 860 g) as listed. It is made of ABS plastic, a tough plastic common in toys. It uses a 3.7V 400mAh rechargeable lithium battery. OKK gives a charging time of 55 to 70 minutes and a working time of 60 to 80 minutes. A USB charger is in the box.
What's in the package
OKK lists the robot, the remote control, the tray, a key, a USB charger, an instruction manual and the rechargeable battery.
Age and supervision
The listing describes the robot as suitable for children from about 5 and up, with gift suggestions for ages 8 to 12. Check the age grading printed on the packaging and in the manual. Because the robot contains a lithium battery and small parts such as the key and coins, adults should supervise charging and make sure the toy is used as the manual describes.
Who it suits
It suits children who enjoy remote-controlled toys, music and pretend play, and families who want a toy with a built-in saving element. Because the robot responds to claps and voice, it can also be fun for groups of children playing together.
What to check before you buy
