The Momcozy BreezyClear NS13 is a handheld electric nasal aspirator for babies. It combines a fine saline-style mist spray with motorised suction in one small device, so parents can soften and clear a blocked nose in one step. This page covers how its features are laid out and what to look at before choosing one.

How the spray and suction work together

The unit has a nasal mask that fits against the nostril and a mist spray function. Momcozy says the mist loosens mucus so it comes away more easily, and that suction then removes it. The spray shuts off automatically after 6 seconds, which Momcozy describes as a way to avoid over-moistening.

Always follow the manual and the advice of your child's doctor about what to use in the spray and how often. Questions about a baby's health belong with a paediatrician.

Suction levels and noise

Momcozy lists four adjustable suction levels, so the strength can be set to suit the child. It quotes suction of 65 kPa, which it calls hospital-grade; this is the brand's own description. Operating noise is given as 43 dB, about the level of a quiet room, which should matter if a baby is dozing.

The device also has soft lights and cheerful music, intended to hold a baby's attention while it is being used.

Materials

The tip is made of BPA-free silicone, according to Momcozy. A soft tip is gentler against the nostril than a hard plastic one, and silicone is easy to rinse.

Cleaning and upkeep

Cleaning is where nasal aspirators succeed or fail, and the NS13 has just two detachable parts. Momcozy gives two methods:

  1. Disassemble: unscrew the collection cup, remove the silicone tip and the internal rubber seal, and rinse under running water or wash with mild, non-abrasive soap.
  2. Stay assembled: lay the machine on its side under the tap, rinse the silicone head, and the water drains from an outlet on the side.

The brand warns that after the cup is removed, the main unit must not go under running water, as this can short-circuit the device. It also suggests emptying the collection cup when it is half full and not overfilling the chamber, to keep the suction consistent.

Size and weight

The device measures about 5.1 x 5.1 x 2.4 inches (13 x 13 x 6 cm) and weighs 0.9 lb (about 410 g). That is small enough for a changing-table drawer or a nappy bag.

Who it suits

It suits parents who want an electric aspirator with a built-in mist and who would like something quiet and simple to clean. Some babies dislike any nasal device, so a calm approach and the manual's instructions matter more than the features.

What to check before you buy

  • Age guidance: read the manual's guidance on suitable ages and how often to use it.
  • Power: check how it is charged or powered and how long a charge lasts.
  • Spare tips: see whether replacement tips or seals are available.
  • Cleaning: be sure you are comfortable with the disassembly and the rule about water.
  • Spray liquid: ask a paediatrician what is suitable to use with it.
  • Noise and lights: think about whether your child will find them calming or distracting.
