The HNEBC 91032 is a white two-drawer nightstand that builds a charging station and mood lighting into the furniture. A wireless charging pad, USB and Type-C ports sit within reach of the bed, and a glass top glows in a choice of colours. It is aimed at bedrooms, but HNEBC also pitches it as a living-room side table or coffee table.
Charging in three ways
HNEBC calls it a 3-in-1 charging station: a wireless charging pad, a USB port and a Type-C port. Wireless pads of this kind generally work with phones and accessories that support wireless charging, and you place the device flat on the pad. The wired ports cover everything else. The listing doesn't give charging speeds, so check the manual if output matters for your devices.
The RGB glass top
The glass top has RGB lighting with seven dynamic modes. HNEBC suggests using it for parties, anniversaries and seasonal decorating as well as for a soft night light. You can switch modes with the touch controls or with the included remote, so you don't need to reach over in the dark.
Motion-sensing light
With the human body sensing function turned on, the light switches on automatically when someone comes within about one to two metres (roughly three to six feet). This is useful for a night-time trip across the room without finding a switch. Sensors like this generally pick up movement, so placement relative to doorways and walkways affects how often it triggers.
Drawers and size
Two drawers hold things like chargers, books and glasses, which helps keep the cables and clutter off the top. The listed product size is 17.7 inches long, 15.7 inches wide and 23.7 inches high (about 45 x 40 x 60 cm), and it weighs 37 lb. The footprint is compact enough for a narrow bedside gap, though the listing's dimensions are given in two different orders, so measure the width and depth you can spare.
Assembly
It arrives as flat-pack pieces. HNEBC says each wooden piece is labelled, and the box has detailed instructions and a spare parts kit. Flat-pack furniture with a lit glass top and electrical parts usually takes a little longer than a plain cabinet, so allow time and follow the instructions in order.
Who it suits
It suits someone who wants a tidy bedside spot to charge a phone without a tangle of cables, or who likes colour lighting in a bedroom or a young person's room.
What to check before you buy
- Space: measure the gap beside your bed, and the height against your mattress.
- Phone compatibility: check that your phone supports wireless charging, and whether a case affects it.
- Power: it needs a nearby outlet, so check the cord reach.
- Lighting: consider whether the RGB top and motion light suit a shared bedroom.
- Assembly: check the parts and tools you'll need, and whether a second person would help.
- Weight: a glass top calls for careful handling when moving it.
