The VEVOR M110203 is a scissor-type motorcycle lift with a hand crank, designed to raise a bike to working height in a home garage or small workshop. Chain maintenance, tyre changes, oil changes and cleaning are all easier when the machine is off the floor. The lift is aimed at street bikes, cruisers and touring motorcycles, according to VEVOR.

How a scissor lift raises a motorcycle

Two sets of crossing arms form an X-frame. A threaded screw, turned by the detachable metal handle, pulls the arms together and pushes the platform up. A screw drive holds its position without hydraulic pressure, and needs no pump or power supply. VEVOR says it needs no extra tools and little effort. The X-frame's central shaft allows different bike positions on the deck.

Capacity and lift height

VEVOR rates the lift at 1,100 lb (0.5 tons) based on its load-bearing tests. Compare that with the weight of your motorcycle, including fuel, luggage and accessories, and keep a margin. The height range is 4.7 inches (120 mm) to 15.4 inches (390 mm). That's a modest lift: it suits work on wheels, lower parts and cleaning, but isn't a full-height workshop hoist.

Deck and stability

The top platform measures 14.6 x 9 inches and is covered by a striped rubber pad. VEVOR says it provides a wide contact area and prevents slipping, while protecting the motorcycle from scratches. A centre-stand-style lift requires the bike to be balanced on the deck, so most owners also strap the bike to a fixed point and follow the manual's guidance on securing it.

Casters and storage

Four casters on the base let you move the loaded lift and slide the motorcycle where it needs to be. For storage and transport, the lift folds down to 4.7 inches high. The finish is powder-coated, which VEVOR says resists oil, grease and rust and is easy to clean. The unit is about 18.1 x 17.3 x 4.9 inches folded and weighs 41 lb (about 18.6 kg). The listing mentions a tool tray in its title.

Who it suits

It suits owners who do their own maintenance and want a compact lift that can be stored away. It may be less suitable for very heavy touring bikes close to the rated limit, or for bikes whose frame, exhaust or bodywork leave no flat area for the deck. Check where your motorcycle's frame is strongest, and see the owner's manual.

What to check before you buy

  • Weight: confirm your bike's wet weight is well under 1,100 lb.
  • Frame clearance: check the deck fits under the frame, with room for exhaust and side stands.
  • Lift height: 15.4 inches may not be enough for your preferred working position.
  • Floor: use on a flat, hard surface, and keep casters locked or clear as the manual advises.
  • Securing the bike: plan straps or tie-downs; never work under an unsecured load.
  • Garage space: leave room to roll the lift and the bike in and out.
